MOVE is an initiative to reach the communities, schools, and people with resources for God and to help WestHills Church relocate to a larger facility to help more people.
A NOTE FROM THE PASTOR...
MOVE.
God is leading WestHills Church to a renewed focus on reaching OUTWARD. It is happening now. Over the recent past we have seen a renewed energy in reaching those in our community. God has placed members of WestHills in local ministries and is constantly expanding our vision for what that can be. We have members serving in the Villa Rica Police department, in many of our schools, a local homeschool co-op, our local pregnancy resource centers, assisting at local food banks and so much more.
As your pastors, elders and deacons, we recognize God’s movement in this area and we sense Him moving us to join and lead this work. To this end, one theme will permeate our church for the next several years: MOVE. We will be leading, challenging, and encouraging every member to MOVE out into the community with the love of Jesus. This initiative is larger than any one of us yet collectively we will see God MOVE in and through His people at WestHills. God does not need us, but He won’t do it without us.
There are three key areas that we must improve in order to MOVE effectively: SHARE, SERVE, and GIVE.
SHARE. Jesus’ first and last instructions on earth are to MOVE out with our testimony and the Gospel. Likewise, every Christian has been commissioned to share his or her faith in this world. We have been sent! It will be our focus to equip and empower you to share your story.
SERVE. The New Testament church was instructed in service. Every Christian has been gifted to serve. It will be our focus to equip and empower you to find your area of service.
GIVE. The Bible makes it very clear that every Christian is to give faithfully and obediently. It is a testimony of faith and obedience. To continue to grow we will need adequate space, staffing and resources. We need more land, more space. While a new location is not the end goal in all of this it certainly is a factor in our ability to accommodate all God sends us! It will be our focus to equip and empower you to give sacrificially.
Let’s MOVE! Let’s all be unified in this endeavor as we ask God to MOVE us to MORE! Let’s pray Paul’s prayer for the early church: Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21
