After much prayer, God revealed a plan to First Baptist Atlanta for starting a new church to impact the community of west Georgia. WestHills Church celebrated its 20 year anniversary in May of 2025! God has done so very much in the short time we have existed. From our beginning moments at First Baptist Atlanta to this very day, God continues to show us just how wonderful He is.
Despite the absence of the term "Baptist" in our name, WestHills Church is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention and makes this fact no secret. To this end, our basic statement of beliefs is consistent with other Southern Baptist Churches.
From the very beginning, WestHills Church has set out to "do" church as the Bible instructs.
Until the return of Christ, it is the Christian’s duty and privilege to seek the fulfillment of Christ’s Great Commission and to minister in His name to a needy world. We are to be instruments of Jesus Christ as the Holy Spirit ministers redemption and reconciliation in the world. (Matthew 25:31-46; 28:18-20)
