Our children’s ministry is participating in the following service projects:
Coat Drive
We will be having a coat drive starting Sunday, August 29, 2010 and running through September 26, 2010. We are asking you and your child to bring in your gently used or new coats during these Sundays. We will be partnering with local elementary school to get these coats to children who cannot afford one.
Canned Food Drive
We will be having a canned food drive starting November 7 through November 21. The food we collect will be given to the local food banks to help local families who are in need.
Sponsorships
The children’s ministry has adopted Kenny Sebastian Zakaria Para and Asti Aprilia of Indonesia through Compassion International. By providing $38.00 a month to each of these two children, these children will receive food, clothing, education and the opportunity to hear the life changing message of Jesus Christ. We take up an offering in children’s church every Sunday and this money will go to support these children. I am asking each child to give up one soda or one happy meal each month and give that money to help a child in need. Also, we will be communicating with the children every month through cards and pictures.
