Mission Statement
The mission of WestHills Church is to see God bring life change.

Lasting life change is realized through a relationship with Jesus Christ. This relationship begins with belief in Jesus Christ, is nurtured when we belong to a community of believers, and enables us to become disciples of Jesus.

Simply stated, our mission is... Believe. Belong. Become.

Vision Statement
Our church has a responsibility to plan for and pursue the life change God brings. Our vision, therefore, communicates our strategy for realizing this mission.

WestHills Church's vision is to glorify God. His glory is realized by the local body when it functions properly as a tool for fellowship, discipleship, service, and outreach. Simply stated, the vision of WestHills Church is:

                To glorify God as we...
                    Connect with other believers,
Grow in our relationship with Christ,
                    Serve others in Christ, and
                    Share our faith with others.

Connect with other believers
As the church erupts in Acts 2, dynamic fellowship among the new believers is immediately apparent. "They were continually devoting themselves to... fellowship" (Acts 2:42 NASB). The marks of this fellowship include attitudes of unity, sharing, and love for one another. We will provide an environment for Christians to grow together, strengthen each other, and fulfill God's purpose.

Grow in our relationship with Christ
Matthew's account of Jesus' ascension highlights a unique aspect of His final command to the disciples that provides a foundation for our strategy of spiritual growth. Jesus says, "Go therefore and make disciples" (Matthew 28:19 NASB). Disciples are not the result of a singular experience or the completion of a curriculum; rather they result from personal investment. Therefore, we strive to transition converts to disciples as modeled by Jesus through small groups, mentoring relationships, and biblical teaching.

Serve others in Christ
"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve," (Mark 10:45 NASB). The standard for service has been set by the One who although He is God, He became obedient to death on a cross (Philippians 2:6-8 NASB). We will foster service by teaching and attempting to model humility, which is the source of godly service. Our goal is to follow Jesus' example to help, give, and sacrifice for others in need.

Share our faith with others
Jesus' example and commands to the disciples clearly establish the believers' responsibility to share their faith with others. Acts 1:8 simply instructs us to be "witnesses." Therefore, we will advance the Kingdom by giving our testimony, time, money, and energy until every person in the world confesses Jesus Christ as Lord.
